Default Camshaft or .093 tubes

My buddy has the same year cummins as mine (99 auto tranny) and his truck lopes like a train . When i asked him how he did it he said he put bigger connector tubes on it, and it loped. I asked him how much they were and if it would work with my truck too. He said i should just go for a new camshaft? So the question i'm asking is, to get a lope out of my truck should i go for a camshaft or the connector tubes? And what are the advantages/disadvantages of all that?

I would say cam for hp gain but also think you need a better box if your going to run 200hp injectors

1. you dont need that large of injectors on a stock turbo.
2. a cam does not make a diesel lope and no point of installing one on a stock turbo truck.
3. larger connector tubes could make it lope but will also hurt horsepower.

A cam will have no effect on loping because it will have absolutley nothing to do with when the fuel is injected into the cylinder. Tubes might make it do it but honestley it wouldnt be worth the money to me. You would more than likeley have no benefits or adverse affects from tubes other than idle. I just see it as money that could be spent elsewhere.
