I installed a fass ddrp tonight, it's extremely quiet, i can feel it run. After i put the pump on i started the truck it ran for 20 seconds died and won't restart. Before this it would start without any problems.

any ideas? i tried priming the lift pump several times, but to no avail.

 

It will only run for 20 sec's if you bump the starter. If you just turn the key it wont keep running until you actually start the truck.

bleed out the line you just got air in the system loosen the line off of # 3 and 5 injector line loosen them up and crank till it starts then tighen up

 

Ya I usually loosen 2 injector lines then bump the starter and let the pump run. Once you start seeing fuel tighten the fuel lines back up and she should fire up.

 

well, i got it to run, i don't have a FP gauge yet, though i dont have any mods so i'm not too worried about it. I ended up cracking some lines and cranking to get the air out. Now i'm just having an OCD fit about all the lines etc..

I replaced the pump just to make myself feel better, it's never given me any problems hard starts,bucking, low power.. etc.. just wanted to be safe =\
