Arrow Best Bang for the Buck

I have a 2001 2500 and I will have about 1800 or so to play with in the next week or so. I know that isn't much when your upgrading a diesel. I already need a lift pump and I'm thinkin of the "Air Dog" system. That will leave me with about 1300ish. What other upgrades should I go with to get the most out of my truck. It's completely stock as of now. Any help will be appreciated, Thanks guys

get yourself a good set of gauges to go along with that air dog so you can keep an eye on the pressure. Aftermarket air intake system. and maybe an exhaust or programmer would be a good start, depending on what you go with depends on how much you spend or will have left over but enjoy!

I was thinking about doin my own exhaust to maybe save myself some money. 4" from Turbo all the way back or 4" to end of cab with 5" stacks? What air intake would be best?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Also, is the Boost Fooler worth getting? How do you adjust the boost once you have this?

If you get the edge juice with attitude it has a built in boost fooler.

I would start off with the air dog or fass, then get the edge juice with att. if you look you might be able to find one used for around $400-500. Reason for juice w/att. is the gauges and all the features. J-hook for the turbo, it will increase your boost.

you really cant adjust the boost but the more fuel the more boost but with a stock turbo you really dont want to push more than 30 psi.

If you look hard $1800 can get you alot IMO

you can find used boxes for a good price. I say edge juice with attitude and that covers gauges too. air dog is a good choice, and a 4" turbo back exhaust will work great. then save what you have left for trans upgrades. do you have auto or manual? edge products and most performance boxes have a built in boost fooler.

Yep definatly what has been mentioned previously that will definatly get you a good start. I have about 1100 in mine so far. My truck had 4" exhaust on it when i bought it so I didnt have to put that on.

Gauges $298 w/pod
Air Dog (used 4k mi) $375
Quad Adrenaline (used 3 mo old) $300
BHAF (napa 2790) $70

Added HP from mods priceless

I just kept searching and looking for the right deal to come along so if you play your card right that 1800 could go along way for you. Good luck
