Default how much smoke is a bad thing?

I just put in some + 50hp injectors from pensacola diesel and now I blow thick black smoke at anything more than 1/4 throttle. also when I get to 70mph, and start to get past 2000rpm, it starts to cut out like it not getting fuel or something. I have a new vp44, and an airdog 100 with clean filters and a dummy light that comes on at under 10 psi(its the only pressure switch I could find that was close to what I needed). Also, I was really hoping that my new injectors would get me past that 12.8 mpg that I have been getting since even before the ip was changed. Any suggestions?

How about the filter on the engine block, or is it by passed? Engine air filter clean? Try running without the filter, but only for a short stint to see if that is the problem.

No programmer of any type?

I put +50 HP nozzles into my '01 and everything became better. I have no smoke on stock mode.

Many people have been quite disappointed with Pensacola diesel products.

I almost bought from them but I read lots of reviews just like yours so I got some EDMs from lukes diesel here for almost the same price and it barely smokes at all with lots of good power

thats good it shouldnt smoke unless you tap your pump with a good box like edge or quad. you dont want the truck to smoke stock with just bigger injectors

that is what I was thinking. I think I am going to make pensacola send me some different ones or my money back. I am not very happy with the current result. I had good luck with my psd injectors from them, and my vp44 works fine, so I thought, well... you know what I would have thought.
