Default help!!! help!!!!

i just installed my super B special turbo. my injectors are still not in. im haveing problems!!! i have the edge juice and smarty stack, the super special does not want to spool up and i have tons of black smoke. the most boost i got out of the turbo was about 15 psi.. any hints on what the problem is? do i just not have enough fuel to light it up? i had to bend the wastegate arm a lil to fit the oil return. could that have done it?.
sorrry im frustrated 2 days ive worked on the truck and its slower then stock
not to mention 1600$
any help would be great.

Sounds to me like your running out of fuel or you have a boost leak. With everything your running you NEED a F.A.S.S, or Airdog to feed the beast some fuel.

I missed that in your sig. My guess is boost leak then. Check your connections, also if you have an extra set of eyes, have them watch the inner cooler hose to make sure it's not collapsing on you.

What's the wastgate set at? On my 02 I had a 110hp box, 110hp sticks, F.A.S.S., AFE intake with the stock turbo (wastegate plugged), south bend ConOFE, and I could easily hit 45psi. I do see a headgasket and studs in your future. The stock headbolts and gaskets are good up to 50psi of boost.

With that new turbo your not going to get that low end boost like your old HX35, it likes a little higher RPMs its deffinetly going to be more laggy on the low end. If your driving at about 50-55 (1900-2100 rpms) with your OD off and step on it the turbo should spool right up and set you back in your seat. You should be seeing (im guessing here) around 30-35 PSI with stock injectors and your chips stacked.
Like someone also mentioned deffinetly check for leaks around the intercooler boots and make sure the clamp on the bottom of the turbo is hooked up right, if that isnt that will deffinetly affect performace.

You don't have orings or studs? I give it a week. I'm betting that the intercooler boot closest to the turbo is sliding out from under the clamp. I'd check that first.

check the drivers side intercooler boot. The pinch weld on that side is known for cutting the intercooler boot. Trust me i found out the hard way. Bend it back and you should be fine after you change the cut boot.
