I have an 01 Dodge cummins 24 valve, and i was wondering if there were any small, cool, cheap mods that i could perform? kind of like taking the silencer ring out of the turbo.

 

BHAF, straight pipe, high idle switches. those are all pretty cool and not very expensive

 

look around for used parts, my comp was used, so was my Con OFE, and just looked real hard for deals for my other mods...you can find used injectors for decent prices if you look hard enough.

 

turbo silencer ring delete, intake air heater grid delete, k&n air filter.just a few

 

why would some one want to delet the heater grid

 

Because down in Texas its not realy needed it hardly ever freezes

 

Yeah, the truck spools faster without the grid heater. Those things are pretty restrictive. There are also some VP things we're toying with (i.e. total static advance) that are free, but... I'm not sure if it will gain you much on a stock truck, that doesn't have extra fuel.
