Default Truck won't start???

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram Diesel. The starter will not turn over so I replaced the starter but same problem. I just hear a click under the hood by the fuse box when I turn the key but the engine wont turn over. Wondering if anyone may have an idea of what the problem could be?? Thanks

Your batteries are either dying under load because they are shot, they can test good sittin there but once you put them under load they die or you have a weak ground. Spray the ground with some cleaner or better yet pull em and clean em up and pull the batteries and take them to a shop to be tested under load.

You can also put a voltmeter to the batteries, alternator and starter to be sure everything is getting juice.

Here's another thread on the exact came thing. Welcome to the start of winter. https://www.dieselbombers.com/diesel...tml#post445749

That's OK, I love situations like that. 2 weeks ago I drove for an hour and a half each way to a loader that wouldn't restart after it dies. I was loaded over the top with parts due to the distance. Changed a fuse that was too small and blew, and drove away. Odd enough, the customer was just fine with the outcome. getting it running was his whole concern. Judging by all the cars, sleds, quads, holiday trailers, and other toys in his yard, that bill won't hurt him too much.
