Default Input shaft

I am getting close to needing a new clutch, probably during winter when im not @ school. I am going to get either the valair or southbend non sfi DD. My question is... Are there good and bad 1-3/8 input shafts? I found one on a website the other day (gotta remember the site) for 400 for the entire shaft upgrade kit... seemed a bit cheap...

Id spend the extra change and make sure you get a good quality input shaft. We have a couple of options to choose from so give me a call sometime and we can discuss this.

why do you want a non sfi clutch?

and if you buy a clutch from southbend that needs the biggers input shaft they will cut you a deal on one...its still expensive but everything is.

I thought 01 and newer dodges had the 6 spd manual transmission

I think mine is pretty rare seeing how it is a 1-ton dually 5spd... I think the 5spd shifts a little nicer than the 6 for a daily driver, and it has the S.O. pump

For the clutch, get you either a 3250 (which i do not believe is SFI rated, not sure on that) or a 3650 from southbend. call them, ask to speak with peter. I was looking into switching to valair because of trying to save a 150 bucks here and there but the customer service at southbend brought me back for a 2nd and then a 3rd time and is worth the extra time. Plus they will custom build you a clutch, thats what i had them do with my DD. cost me the same as one they normally keep in stock. Go with southbend, you wont regret it.
