Default heater grid delete

whats everyones opinion on the heater grid delete?? i ended up custom welding my intake horn, and am thinking bout having my buddy who works in a machine shop make me a heater grid delete out of aluminum...anyone else running those? would it be worth it????

I didn't notice a difference. Seems like they only made em for trucks down south or running an insanely amount of power. Only thing is you should reinstall the grid heater for the winter.

No improvement, what so ever really ! Maybe a little lower boost but not enough to mention. Guy's that delete them also custom fab the intake to get more airflow!

it sounds like ti wont be a good idea...because im in illinois, and am leaving for basic training for the army in october, and the truck will be driven just a couple times a week by my wife to keep the fluids moving, and we get some cold weather here in illinois in the winter...thanks guys for the input!! i appreciate it!

I agree.....nuttin gained just leave it on......winter is tough and the Cummins needs it anyway

my truck 98.5 came with the delete, i installed the original heater assembly no noticable difference and nice to have the heater when necessary. ED
