Default banks ottomind what is this I have one?

I bought this truck couple months ago and u guys have helped me get it runnin great I was lookin at gettin some electronics and before I bought it I started lookin and noticed some wires that weren't stock they ran under the dash to a banks ottomind engine calibration module. I unplugged it and the truck runs fine It's got an 8 pin connector and a pyro wire hooked to it. It's got a few other connectors that have nothing hooked into them. It says on the side of the module that it is calibrated by the banks git-kit and that it will cause engine damage without it which is ? Help me is this trash or what looks old and scary. I'm going to leave it disconnected and see what happens got a big load of pipe to go pick up in about 4 hours so maybe it will run better. thanks

OK I unhooked it and reset my ecm to see what would happen and I threw a low boost code and went into limp mode and couldn't get out. So I hooked it back up reset the ecm and it drives fine still throwing low boost which I had about a month ago but it would go away then I cleaned it and it went away till now. and it's starting hard again. Sometimes I hate my truck. can't find any fuel leaks.

It's a junk module.... I dont know how else to say it.
Take it off the truck, It wont cause any problems unless the wastegate actuator that comes with the kit is letting you get above the ECM's max boost parameter.

Ya it really doesn't feel like it gives me anything for power I would like to get it gone and get something better but as soon as I take it off it says Low Boost code and puts me into limp mode where I have about 25% power. Now that I hooked it back up and drove it around a bit the code went away but I want the whole thing gone and still be able to drive my truck.

Any luck figuring out your problem? I was wondering how you go about unhooking this programmer withput damaging it or anything else?
