this gt42 has and internal wastegate how will that work? will it be ok?

Yes, the internal gate will handle most anything a VP can throw at it. I know of a few HX40/ GT42-02 trucks kissing 600HP and no issues with boost control of the pimary.

Like dave said, the internal gate will be great for boost control on the primary and keeping it in the sweet spot of its compressor map. I would still add a pretty sizable wastegate to the hx35 though if that is the secondary you are going to run. They are a pretty small housing with a decent sized turbine wheel.

i have seen were guys run the wastegate on the manifold would this help and if so what kind of wastegate should i run on the manifold

Yes. Especially if you disable the internal gate. I would not go smaller than 38mm.

Not to threadjack, but I have the same turbo, a gt4294, with an 1.01 externally gated housing. I would like to run as a single on a 12v, would it be possible to spool this before 2000rpm with intake and exhaust manifolds along with headwork? Truck is a 5spd as well.

Never thought about running it as a primary in a twin setup, seems a bit too small, maybe a 4202 like above.
