well as some of you may know i blew up my stock turbo on sunday and it was blown (shaft snaped in half it was done blown up real good like). soooo i orederd a new one froms Diesel nut motorsports and ended up geting studs as well. instaled that thursday night took about 6 hours for everything , this is with reinstaling intercooler and what not (had to drain the 4 or 5 quarts from the intercooler and surrounding tubes. INstal went fairly smooth sjut took a while. (a note to others if you do this then make shure you dont have anthing early the next day i got 3.5 hours of sleep.) Instaled turbo and down pipe and she fired right up. smoking blue for about 5 min *burign off the rest of the oil torqued teh bots to final tourqe and took her for a lil test drive, have yet to use full throttel and ahve only used half throttel twice but this thing is at least as fast as it was before at half throttel, and i still have to much fuel for the turbo! haha still cnat see beind me after accelerating on the highway. soooo i guess it time to figure out a ht3b/super b compund setup . I do likethis turbo thoguh spools about the same as the stocker but has a better top end have only gotten her to 30psi and she still feels better than before, still gets hot on the egt's but with the fuel im pshing that not super exciting, cant wait till i get her broken in and the bolts retourqued around next week buhahahahaha, also going from 7600 ft elevation to 300 ft

 

I envy ya cummins guy when it comes to turbo swaps. Ya be doing good to get the turbo off a Dmax in 6hrs.

with your redline off, you shouldn't have any issues. I dont with just a smarty and DDP 4's. Cant get it past 1100 degrees and 33 psi.

I feel the same way about it needing a friend tho. Once I get a fueling box, it will get one.

well she can still get hot and still gets hot pretty quick this injection pump is pretty insane on the fueling. and screw you short bus more like a more in debt collage student.
