Thanks I appreciate the support. I tried to go through tech support with the customer asking him questions to see where the problem was but each time I asked him to do something I got "Im a not stupid, quit talking to me like Im stupid. I'm a Mechanic". So all I could do was surmise it was the checkvalve. Checkvalves are the most reliable part of the system. Any part can go bad. If his checkvalve was bad and he was parked on a hill it could cause the fluid to go into his engine while on a downgrade.

This customer had our trunkmount tank where the pump sat on top of the tank, it was in his bed of the truck I believe. He said that his truck was parked in the garage and the water traveled up the pump and drained into his engine from there (over night). I have never seen a situation where a pump was higher than the tank and the tank was lower than the nozzle and somehow by itself the entire tank drained into the engine. There is an explanation for everything and Im sure if we would have been able to talk further we would have figured it out. I have no doubt the customer had some sort of problem I just regret that I do not know for sure what the problem was and that the customer had an issue at all.

our pumps are diaphram pumps, they work in the same way as most WI mfg kits.

On your system I take it that the tubing running into the intake is all above the intake, and the water in between the solenoid and check valve was sufficient to hydrolock the engine? I don't see how this can happen without the installation being questionable.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Cooling Mist and nobody else even has anything I'd consider buying. (Although Cooling Mist does need to spend some more capital into making their software better.)

I agree 100%. I have been running water injection for over 120,000 miles without one issue. Snows pumps are over rated, there 200psi pump puts out only 140-160psi with a single injector on it, with two it was in the 120-140 range. Cooling mists 250psi pumps with two LARGE injectors holds all day at 220-230psi.

They have been nothing but helpful with everything I have ever needed and continue to be to this day!

:rocking:

" (Although Cooling Mist does need to spend some more capital into making their software better.)"

Does this mean the controller SW or something on the site -shoppingcart/checkout. I am so close to ordering maybe I should wait?

Satisfied customers ,

What kits do you guys run?
My SPS is kinda a pig so not sure if I could even use water in daily driving but I guess its worth a try. Maybe If I choke the EX down to 12cm from 14cm it will light quicker and I can use the water to cool on the topend.

COOLING MIST SUCKS, PERIOD. I had the same thing happen to my truck after sitting for a few hours. I too realized it right away, but not before it lifted the head and I started getting engine oil in my cooling system. By the time I was done I spent almost three grand fixing it. All because the little brass check valve didn't work. My tank was in the tool box in the bed, pump on the frame rail. It's pretty damn hard to find a place lower than the intake to put the tank. I ended up putting an additional electric solenoid valve in the system. I since have scrapped the whole $700 bucks worth of crap. I didn't want to sell there junk to someone else. This is the only company other than Holley I've every had a problem with, and I'm 50 yrs old. Screw em.
