I think if someone uploads their smarty into your truck, their smarty will only work on your truck because the program was uploaded to yours.. what im saying is one smarty-one truck, you cant upload several programs to several trucks using the same smarty you need one for each truck... Smartys are around $600, you could also check out Quadzilla Adrenaline for your truck, there are several tunes on it and some have the high idle feature.

your right about the one tuner one truck thing, but when you put the smarty back to stock it put the updated dodge program in the ECM and wala you have high idle, then you can put it back on the other truck and your good to go

That is not going to work. The way Smarty works, it upload the existing program and replace it with Smarty whatever level program. When you go back, the old program is going to get back into truck's ECM. No change!

That is not true at all. My buddy installed his Smarty on my 01 6 speed for me to try. We then took it off. The high idle flash and 3 cylinder flash remains with the truck and does not uninstall when you uninstall the Smarty. These features did not previously work on my truck and they are working to this day. At least thats the way it worked on my truck.

The SMARTY will in fact leave the high idle function installed, that' about it though everything else goes back to stock or the SMARTY is left VIN locked if you don't and won't work on any other truck.

Some place in here is also a write up to install a high idle switch. I have the high idle flash on my truck but I also have a high idle solenoid that with the flip of a switch I can set my truck idle to high manually regardless of the temps. The manual method is the only way to go for me. I can set it to leave my truck runnin while I'm in and out of stores and keep it runnin warm and i always hated pluggin my truck in in the winter time cause the high idle would never kick in and the truck wouldn't warm up idling. With this I can turn it up and have it plugged in.
