a what?!?!?!?! im guessing since we havent heard of it, that the edge is probally a better product...but who knows...

thinking about it more, id say go with the edge...tried and true, good power, plus all the gauges you need...dont know what more you could ask for? after a little research, it looks like the jvd is similar to the edge comp??? it adds timing and whatnot...looks like it is an older chip as well...maybe someone here has some experience

JVD's are the old boxes that Hasley machine used to sell. Pretty similar in principle to the the edge really. It was a fueling and timing box, and I believe that they had a timing only box as well. The nice thing about the Juice is the Attitude monitor, and the hot unlock code, or the drag version of the comp.

They are decent units, and they pop up pretty cheap every now and again, so they are good for a budget build.

the reason i ask is because my buddy pulled one from a wrecked 99 in a junkyard yesterday morning for like 25 bucks and was wondering how itd compare to my juice. would it be worth running until he got the money for a juice with attitude?? he was running an ADR but it damn near destroyed his truck, box shorted out and melted down so he took it off.

Damn, for $25 I would say run it and don't look back. It will work just fine. If your J w/A doesn't have the hot unlock, then the JVD should keep up with it just fine.
