valve springs arent required (but reccomended) to hit 500, he could be close to 500, heck, im on the stock turbo and im making a multi- time dyno-proven 450 hp and 1070 ftlbs. also keep in mind that hes got a 6spd manual, he'll make more at the rear wheels then an auto with the same setup simply because the auto will eat anywhere from 40-70 hp

450 is pretty easy to do stock turbo...it gets hot really fast though...like 1800+ at the end of the quarter...anything over that on a stock turbo is pretty much usless...wont be able to stay on it long at all...

I make 403 with 110hp less injectors and a similar turbo. so 500 is not out of the question.

to make a nice street truck with 400hp a s300 based turbo is a good start and a set of 100hp injectors with a quad or edge or tst box will get you there and be able to drive and tow with very little heat issues... but like they say your trans will not take it.. ohh yeah a good fuel system is a must. fass airdog raptor.... I myself like the edge juice because it has the fuel pressure gauged that works and doesn't cost more. The box is advertised to make 120 more but with my turbo and injectors it made 159hp more than on 0. stock setting 244 level 5 403.

Easiest 400+HP recipe ever.

Edge EZ or other non wire tap box. FireBall 150's. Upgraded charger.

Regarding springs, it's not a HP thing, but a boost/ rpm thing.

Regarding Quad boxes, I have had far fewer warrantied than Edge boxes by a mile!

I was with Curtis when he hit 497hp. He didn't have the Quad set on his high tune either. He has an easy 500hp under his hood. (Just look at his rear tires)
