Hey its Mr Sparky dont know if this goes here but if not let me know still new, i been reading and thinking about this for awhile now i really hate the look of the tires i have on my truck now but i like the stock truck look rims i mean. it comes down to this i had some say i can put 38's on my stock rims and some say i cant and that i can only get 33's i have a 7inch lift on it so don't think rubbing would be a prob may be wrong new to the liftedness. i would like to get 38's but if i can go bigger why not. GO BIG OR GO HOME ya know. so question is how big of a tire you think i can get on stock rims with no rubbing with the 7" suspension lift? or just buy new rims that can fit the biggest tire i can get that don't rub and deal with the no stock look. thanks agian

 

What kinda weight are you towin with this truck. You can go a little oversized but safety becomes an issue.

 

umm nothing just a boat some times and dirt bikes the usual toys. nothing big may get a plow for next year. if i cant get the tires on the stocks ill upgrade just i liked the stock look. dont want no safety issues ya know.

 

38's are too big (I know that they are on mom's 2000),but you could probably get away with some 35s.that's a guess.

 

35's yes - 38's on the 8" OEM wheel - no.

Youll need at least a 10" wheel for 38's. Rubbing isnt really the issue - safety is.

 

Just remember larger tires will effect you MPG and degrade them...
