Default New turbo

Ok so I'm trying to talk a guy out of a turbo. He said its a non-wastegated turbo built by River City Turbo and its made similar to an II sps 62. It was also buit for a CR. My question primarily realtes to the performance of the turbo with the fueling mods I have.

If it performs exactly like the SPS how would the spool-up be? That is my first though because 1 Its a DD and 2 its a manual. A little more lag than stock I can handle, but I don't want it to be a total dog because I do pull a horse trailer fairly regular. Also what HP could I reasonably expect from this turbo? ALso how is surge with a turbo of this size? Thanks in advance.

I've had 2 turbos from them including my current one and i am very pleased with their service and product.

For my auto with 125 nozzles, tstcomp and smarty, Spooled slower than stock but i drive like an old man i'm told.
with a 4:10 5spd you will be able to light it like it IS stock.
Mine maxed out at 45psi.
Egt's at low rpm's like in town took a while to get used to they were closer to 1000*
highway egt's are much better.
on the top end it pulled really hard.
Chris at RCT told me non wastegated housing are bigger and can support more power
You will like it.

My current one is identical to a silverbuller. 66/74/14. Only difference i've seen is an actual silverbullet go up to 65-70 psi where i'll stop at 50-52psi. Either way im sure the silverbullet at that boost is out of its effeciency range.

Cool that's what I was hoping to hear.

What is the differences in turbos between the 2nd Gens and the 3rd gens? Because the turbo I'm looking at was made for a common rail. I expect I'll probably run into some fitment problems.

Well the turbo finally arrived! 850 bucks for a slightly used turbo isn't too bad in my book. Everything is pretty tight if a little sooty. Enjoy.

Now If I can just get my dad to get his truck fixed and give me mine back.

I think your going to have some adapting issues as that was for a cr motor and they differ from the 2nd gens. I don't know all the stuff but I do remember they are different in some ways
