well noticed an oil leak under the truck today and after some searching i found the source, rear of the engine at the wonderful place where the head and gasket meet this head is studded oringed and has 5 re tourqes on it...... time to get the high alloy studs i guess......

 

You and IC Smoke need to make a Headgasket club...

What is the price difference between regular studs and the high alloy ones? Maybe you need some 14MM's?

 

that doesn't sound like a fun job to take care of.

 

what thickness are you using? maybe try a 10 or 20 over gasket...

 

14mm studs on a 24v block almost always equal a cracked block so not gogin that route ill probly go with a 10 or 20 over cummins gasket and some high alloys ugh how do you start a club ic smoke and i could have a pitty party
