Default Edge Comp Updates And Drag Upgrade Questions

Ok, i contacted edge yesterday about updating my comp box with their newest updates as well as having them upgrade it to the drag. Heres my questions....
  • Does the drag upgrade add any horsepower to the box or does it only add fueling to 3200 RPM? Also, does this added fueling make the truck any faster or not.
  • Is the drag upgrade worth the $125.00 or not, reasons why it is or is not would be nice.
  • Can the truck be driven with the Comp harness plugged in but without the box connected to the harness?
  • Does anyone know what updates are available for the Comp box currently?

Thanks guys. I figured since my truck isnt really going anywhere until it gets fixed, now would be a prime time to get my comp updated and upgraded to the drag.

It only adds the extra fueling over the high RPM range. It is intended for competition use as in Drag racing or sled pulling, Hence the name Drag Comp.

This is a personal question that only you can answer.

Most definately without any problems, just with the lack of the customary spunk your used to.

You will have the Comp back in your hands within a few days. The day they receive it, it is done and back in the mail on it's way to you.

Edge will always do the updates for you for free. When you call them just make sure you have the info off the box handy. The serial number, Manufacture date and version number. If they have more recent version out they will do the update.
