Question HX35 questions

I'm on a money and time crunch here so can't be rounding up a bunch of things for a conversion.

My turbo is apart right now, I've gotten the rebuild kit abs a boost elbow, but have not been able to track down a 54/78 6+6 compressor wheel.

The numerous ads I've found on ebay via mamba or kinugawa have all apparently been discontinued.

I found a 53.88/81.3 6+6, so i ordered that, just to be informed that this part is now 7+7.

The last one i found was a Mamba and that part is now apparently a 5+5.

So now I'm looking at more machine work.

Question is, can i machine out the compressor housing of my hx35 to accept a 60mm hx40 wheel?

I know the center section will be easy to make larger, and obviously getting an hx40 compressor housing would be easier than boring out mine, but the wastegate actuators are different.. and from what i can tell, I'll have to also change my intercooler lines a little.

So, is there enough meat in my hx35 housing to remove 3mm diameter and profile the inside to fit the radius of the new wheel, because from what I've found via searching, nobody takes this route. I'm curious as to went nobody has even asked.

Default

found a 58/81.3 6+6

going to have my compressor housing opened up and radius'd for the new compressor wheel, and the backing plate machined out for the increased exducer diameter.
