Default Home Made Twins

If a man had a turbo off a piece of heavy equipment and wanted to use the factory turbo to do a home brewed twins set up, is there any reason it wouldn't work? Or should I just bite the bullet and cough up the $3500-$5000?

it could work, if your good at welding.

but you have to worry more about being able to spool that turbo up and not blowing any head gaskets.

Possibly a '91 model John Deere 644 Loader, and if reference to the other comment, I know about the head gaskets. I'd probably have to have the head fire ringed. But u don't think the stocke turbo would be enough to spool it?

Your talkin about a pretty advanced do it yourself project here. Not somethin for the normal mortal man. Sounds easy but there are a lot a little fine point details that go into not only building this setup but then being able to tune it all right to make it work.

There is definitely some tuning to be done, but I'm still trying to found out what this mystery turbo is.
