Adrenaline With Pulse

Hey Luke try loading just a straight adr 2000, no warm up or turbo timer or go to the adr3000
see what happens then. Do you have the smarty loaded also? How or what did you use on the pump wire? I always use posi taps Allpar.com : Easy splicing with Posi-Taps. I have never had any problems with these connectors

Talked to Quad and im going to sent the Adren and Pulse back to them to replace. I tried both the AD1000 and AD2000 tunes and got the same results. I finally was able to get the High Idle and Warm Up turned off due to the crappy buttons. Its got some power but not like it should and no smoke. I will get me some Posi-Taps.

I am trying to figure out why some are having button difficulties.
We use the same buttons on the Commander and have ZERO trouble with them.
Here is what I have come up with. I think in the rush to get as many out as we did, as fast as we did some of the assemblers did not follow all of the steps? Each PCB after it is populated gets washed. This can leave a light residue on the board surface. Now this is not something that would normally matter but, we are using a carbon pill resistor button and I believe this residue is causing them to not work properly.
Either that, or we have some bad buttons but, I have not ever run through that and we have went through almost 100,000 buttons as we use them on a lot of things.
Here are a couple of options to remedy this problem.
1) Take the Pulse apart, use an alcohol wipe and clean the bottom of the button and the button pad surface, put it back together.
2.) We will gladly send you new buttons.
3.) Get it to us and let us fix whatever the issue is.

IMO, the only way to go for a wire tap is to go with a Stealth cover, pretty much a sure fire way for a guaranteed connection.
Quad has said in the past, that every unit that goes out the door is tested on a truck before it gets shipped out just to make sure everything works. I don't know if he's still doin that or not.
I'm sure Quad will get you squared away and take care of ya, he seems to be a pretty good dude. Let us know how it turns out. I've been Beta testing for about 6 months now, so give me a holler if you need help with anything, I'll help if I can.
