Default Low fuel pressure

When i first get in the truck at idle the pressure stays at 18. With normal city driving its down to 10. And with interstate driving it reads a 0 to 1. When i first got the truck the fuel pressure reading stayed 19/22 no matter what . Has a new fuel filter also anyone know what this is?

put your truck info in your signature so we all have an idea what mods have been done to your truck. does it have an aftermarket lift pump or stock? do you have a chip or programmer installed?
if it is a stock lift pump, upgrade it asap. if your VP44 (inj pump) sees less than 5 psi, its on borrowed time and they can get expensive to replace.

Looks like some kinda fuel filter?

LOL@ the hose clamps on that pushlock fitting.

You can get rid of the clamps.. They are doing NOTHING other than chewing up the hose. I guarantee you will not be able to get the hoses off those fittings without cutting them.

They are called push lock for a reason. They will hold up to far higher pressures than a lift pump can provide without failure...

Anyway: your lift pump is probably toast. if it can't hold more than 10psi cruising it is junk and needs to be replaced immediately before it takes out the injection pump.
