Default Plumb Assassin Pump with OE Pump for Priming??

I've decided to go with a DTT Assassin pump. My OE lift pump is still very much alive, but doesnt flow enough (as we all know). I'm very mechanically inclined so I'll be tackling this project on my own. I want to know how people have wired and plumbed the system so I can have the OE pump on a switch for priming purposes? I'm going to run a Fleet Guard water separator/filter setup to splice inline on the frame rail too.

Can someone please help me with how this works? The wiring and the plumbing both?

Also what is the stock fuel system on these trucks? how is it? tank-->??-->??--> VP44? thanks for the help
