Honestly sounds like your just day dreaming, i dont mean to be rude just how i see it. Whats the reason for the build? Is there engine damage currently?

$2500 for a rebuild doing the assembly yourself.

Probably another $2200 for your first list.

Colt Stage 3 cam, I love everything about mine. Girdle is unnecessary unless unless you plan on going crazy. Pistons will come in the rebuild kit.

So, with you doing all the assembly, you have a $5500 list, IMO.

On a build I am doing, $2500 covers block and head machine work. Found a guy nice and close that is well known for good work, and the price is decent.

X2
My thoughts were :
1500-1900 on rebuild kit
500 machine work (max, cleaning boring etc)
50-100 lint free rags/ brake clean assembly lube (fluids like at)
50 oil/filter
70 coolant
50 for evacuating a/c
We just finished a CR and out the door it was around 6700 which includes labor for diag and r&r.

1500-1900 on a kit, really? I hope not. I'm finding them for around $1000. I don't really want to tack on an extra $500-$900 to my build cost!

Maybe so but i figure adding studs to the price and a bit of buffer room for the unexpected . I would rather price high and discount when im done than price low

I see, adding the studs and other engine hard parts into the price. The kits that I looked at are just rebuild kits, nothing extra.
