Default best compound set up with a hx35?

What's the best compound set up I can do that's reasonably inexpensive, but with still using my stock hx35? I know I'm going to have to get bigger injectors. I already have a fass fuel system as well. I wanna do that before getting a programmer or should I get one as well with it? If I do I'm leaning towards the ejwa because the user friendly interface and the guages on it. What do you guys think?

ejwa is nice and has a better display but for less money you can get the quad adrenaline with pulse and it puts out more power than any other programmer.

I first ran a HX35 over S471. Worked well, lots of boost, cool egt's. I'm also running the EJWA, good units.

I wouldn't go larger than a S476 or S480, the HX356 will be too much of a restriction. When I did my HX35/40 Hybrid, I put a 16cm turbine housing on to increase flow. Drive pressure only exceeds boost pressure when I am over 2700RPM, and 40psi boost.

Should I do head studs as well or just wastegate it down around 40psi? I don't really want to go higher than that though. What injectors should I go with? 100, 125, 150... etc.

150's would be a nice fit. Head studs are always a good idea when adding more boost. You can try to wastegate it down to keep it around 40, but having the studs would be better.

This is my truck, EJWA, 65hp injectors, and a HX35 over S471.

if you plan on using your HX35W you should get an external wastegate, i'm currently making a setup for a friend of mine who is using his HX35W setup, i'm tapping in a tube on the stock manifold so that i can put a V-Band wastegate on it to dump @ 35psi...

i'm setting his truck up to use a HX52 under the HX35W, we might up that HX52 to a HX55...

I built everything myself, and got the S471 for free. Total cost was about a $700 all said and done. Kits online cost around $2000.

Am external gate is a very good idea. The wastegate in the HX can't handle the flow necessary to protect it.
