Default Boost Elbow??? 2001.5 Edge Juice W/ Attitude

So, I bought a used Juice w/ Attitude and it did not come with the boost elbow, however in the directions, it said that my truck did not need one. Is this true? In lower settings I only make about 18-19 psi and when I turn it up I make only about 22ish. What can I do to bump that up to the 30ish range?

Isn't that what most people run at for the most part.

My buddy with a common rail says he is in the 32-34 range.

Without the elbow your wastegate will open to soon to make the Juice as effective as it should be. I don't know why the directions would say that you don't it, but without it your gate is gonna open at factory specs no matter what the Juice does. Just call Edge and tell them you elbow is bad and they will usually send you another. Their after the sale service is the best I've ever seen in any business there.

I agree they do have excellent costumer service, but in the directions it told me that my truck has a hard line and because of this the boost elbow is not needed. I am still looking for some suggestions though...

EDIT: DIRECTIONS FORM THE EDGE MANUEL

Boost Elbow Installation
1. Using the 5/16” socket, loosen
the two clamps securing the air
induction hose to the air filter
housing and the turbo inlet.
Remove the hose and set it
aside.
2. Using the pliers, remove the crimp style clamp
from the hose on the brass fitting located on the
now exposed lower front side of the turbocharger. Remove the hose from
the brass fitting and dispose of the crimp style clamp.
3. Using the 7/16” wrench, unscrew the stock brass fitting out of the
turbocharger housing. Using the 7/16” wrench, install the supplied brass
fitting, tighten-be careful not to over-tighten. Slip the supplied hose clamp
onto the stock hose, install the stock hose onto the supplied brass fitting and
tighten the hose clamp with the ¼” socket. Reinstall the stock air hose onto
the air filter housing and turbocharger inlet. Using the 5/16” socket, tighten
both clamps securely.
Note: On 2001+ vehicles with automatic transmissions, the turbo waste gate is a solid line and does not
have a brass elbow to be replaced.

So what acts as the boost fooler then for the Auto's. Cause right now with the gate opening at factory specs it is just pretty much wastin the extra the box is producing.

You can put a Turnbuckle on the Wastegate or use a Bully Dog J-Hook.

Just slap me then, like I shouldn't have known that. I really did know that if somebody would just slap me smart.

You have to be careful though..... my HY will boost to 40psi which is way out of its HP range. Don't think its going to like my 150hp Injectors
