just bought the truck yesterday. i dont know much about diesel motors but i know that i should be runnin close to 35 psi when i punch it and im getting like 15 maybe.

how do i fix it?!!!

 

Oh, you must have one of those tempermental electronic P7100s. Yeah, the Quadzilla is programmed backwards and actually defuels that pump.

All joking aside, I think you need to check out the 98.5-02 24 valve section, buddy. No electronics with the 12 valve'rs.

 

Hopefully they move this to the 24v section for you or just repost it there. My guess is waste gate or boost leak in boots or I/C. Good Luck

 

A programmer won't control boost on your truck. In order to do that you need a manual boost controller ($25 online, or put one together with parts from your local hardware store for half that, search, it's your friend). just don't go much over 30psi on that turbo or you'll be looking for a new one. Also, might want to check and make sure that tuner blocks the overboost code from throwing, otherwise it'll put your truck in limp mode and you won't be boosting at all...

 

Where is the 15 psi reading coming from? Does it smoke a lot? Any hissing sounds from under the hood? Any codes?
