ok and he mentioned the smarty would add like 90hp on all settings its just the higher the setting is the faster it achieves it from a start in the rpm range i really only want it to bump my mileage dont need anymore power (something i never found myself saying when i owned a 7.3 powerstroke) so i'll just add the smarty and then forget injectors? im afraid to overdue it with the power as is with the smarty if i add it im afraid of hurting the trans also any idea how much power the smarty will add? also sounds like i'll be getting more of a mpg improvement with a tuner (smarty) vs like 75 hp injectors am i correct about that? and once trans is beefed up and i do injectors i'll have more of a mpg gain running injectors and chip? i appreciate all the help new to the cummins and autos always had stick trucks

The Smarty is only about 65HP, he's full of saying 90HP. He is correct on saying the levels determine how fast it gets to the 65HP though.

I believe would will benefit more from the Smarty over a set of injectors. The Smarty can also read and clear codes, add 3cyl high idle, adjust tire size, as well as add power.

Depends on its current condition, how you drive and how you use your truck. I've seen bone stock trucks burn up transmissions.
