I have a 2000 dodge with rear drums and was wondering if there is a bolt on kit for this to change to disks? I know it would be worth doing, just wanted to see if I was in for a serious project or if its not to bad to do...

Not a bad price at all. I swapped out my entire rear axle to get disc brakes. I also upgraded to a Dana80 over the Dana70 that came in the truck. $1000 from a wreckers for the axle with brakes.

 

My 2001 has disc brakes in the rear, I wonder if it was a mid year change where they added the disc to the rear.

 

From what I researched and have heard, that is exactly what happened.

 

So im assuming i have 2001 1/2, Not an early 2001.

 

says hes sold 6 of those kits.I would be very interested to see an instalation write up on 1 to see how it worked out. Definately has my interest as well even though I just replaced my rear shoes and wheel cylinders
