Really??

Didn't that timing rattle about do you in?

Typically, with the Edge adding timing, the Smarty would run an even numbered program or no timing.

How does it drive??

That sort of makes sense to me.. I just got my Smarty, yesterday. (Thanks Chad!)
I realize everyone recommends running even numbers when stacked with an edge or other chip that handles timing.

I'm thinking that the Edge over rides the ECM to handle timing. So if I set the Smarty program on an odd # (with timing), with the edge turned off, the Smarty program loads on the ECM and handles it's own timing. That way I can run without the edge turned on.

Then when I turn the edge on, it over rides the ECM and handles timing.

Make sense? or not...

I haven't tried either setup yet. Just running level 2 on the Smarty and level 2 on the edge, for daily driving. I'm waiting to fill the tank, then I'll set the new tire size.

The Smarty says that the stock tire size is 0 (zero)
