Default Wastegate options

I've had the Edge comp in my truck about a week now. Before that, I had a Superchips Flashpaq with a BD Boost Fooler. I've had the comp on 3x5 mainly, and I can hit 35 psi pretty easily without putting it completely to the floor in the higher gears with the clamped wastegate hose. I'd rather be able to put the pedal to the floor and hit 35psi or less, just for the turbos sake. What kind of boost will I build with the elbow that came with the Edge comp?

If u clamped off the waste gate, your making max boost for your fueling mods. And at 35 psi your right about the max efficiency of the stock turbo. The elbo let's you adjust your waste gate opening pressure

I know it's the max. I'd rather have the waste gate function and stay around 30-35 psi at WOT. Right now I'm hitting 35 psi before that. I was just wondering what kind of boost it'll make if I install the elbow that came with the edge

The elbow is more restrictive allowing the turbo to hit a higer boost before opening the wastegate. Only way to see what it makes is to test it. Throw it in and take the truck for a spin.

And the boost elbows I've seen have an Allen screw to adjust the boost. I assumed u were wanting to make more boost with the elbow

No I think what he is talking about is the little brass elbow that comes with the Edge products. It replaces the small elbow on the front of the compressor and has a smaller opening than the stock one allowing the turbo to create 2-4 psi more over stock.

Yes I have seen them. Most of the ones I have seen have a set acre to make it more restrictive

The one I received with my edge does not have a set screw to adjust it. It's just a plain elbow. I thought they were all adjustable. I should have some time this weekend to try it out.
