gauges, smarty, comp box, injectors - all after the fuel pump upgrade. Either AD or FASS will work great.

I am not a fan of the Smarty in BOMBed auto trucks. Every one I have ever seen will surge as fuel is added. We do sell the Smarty to guys with autos, just something to be aware of based on feedback. Mine was useless o cruise control.

In these cases, I prefer an adjustable box. The AirDog and Raptor have a better price point for now, so it's an easy choice.

Obviously gauges are in there somewhere and it appears you have them based on your sig.

Next step, more fuel, more air. Repeat until you are broke or make more power than anyone else!

I have never had that feed back. The SB's work great on everything I ever loaded them on. (Stock VB's and TC's as well as Clutches in sticks).

Hey to each his own.

X2

Only problem I have ever had was on a Smarty Jr. The trucks shift selector light would not display at all with the Smarty JR loaded.

So is the adrenaline the way to go for the 24v?

that is supposed to be the latest and greatest for the 24v but you can also pick up boxes right now for chips for the adrenaline... you can find a drag comp for a good price..

Stock VB and TCs don't present much of a problem to the Smarty. Again, this is the VP trucks.

The loose converters allow the truck to get to a higher MPH at a higher RPM. In my case, tight auto, the speed is greater at a lower RPM. So, tight auto guys use less throttle input to go the same speed when unlocked. This raises the point of lockup in MPH.

I have tried to raise the voltage input from the APPS to the PCM. That helps, but causes other issues. I have built a device that raises the signal to the PCM at all throttle settings. But again, it has serious drawbacks under different conditions.

The surging is an effect of touchy throttle, fast spool and a factory cruise that is over active. If the cruise gain/ drop could be reduced, it would help. The major factor is that all autos would have better driveability with a slower fueling curve off idle.

But, even a bone stock trans with M6s, twins and a high gear locked in OD will surge with the Smarty in cruise. That's if it could hold it out of the driveway. LOL

I have spent a great deal of time trying to get the Smarty folks to address these issues. With over a year of unfulfilled promises, one must assume the focus has shifted to the easier CR stuff.

All that said, mild fueled trucks with a 150 HP or smaller injector, single turbo and loose converter do not exhibit these symptoms as badly. If the truck is running a factory size tire and or a low gear, that helps minimize the effects as well.

The CR line of product is a completely different animal and has different effects on driveability as a function of the base programming of the truck. Every combo is different.

MY Converter is Super Tight , I have the Adrenaline and 150HP sticks and i get a surge underload at about 50 MPH , If i speed up its fine , When in 4x4 going about 35 MPH in Lock Up It will Just about throw you out of the truck , I need a looser Torque Converter ! Speeding up a bit or slowing down and its fine its just a certain spot it dont like to be held at
