Yes it completely shut off and turned itself back on in about 5 seconds or less and no I wasnt rolling the clutch was completely pressed an the brakes compressed and it stalled out for a second or 2 an started back up without me doing anything. then the check engine light came on then a couple hours later the check engine light went off but I dont think it will stick. any ideas?

took it to school had my teacher run for codes. Code: P1689. No communication between ECM and Injection Pump and apparently it shut off because connection between the 2 was lost for more then 3 seconds but apparently it found the connection again an started itself. last time I was told my mechanic told me about 1300 for new ECM and I'm looking a 1300 next month because the guy I bought the truck from a "professional" mechanic took the spacers off the injector lines and apparently when he put lines back on he didn't use the spacers he wrapped them in electrical tape and 2 are leaking the other 4 aren't but they aren't reusable so another 1300

I wouldnt buy a new one. You can have yours rebuilt and save some money. I had my PCM rebuilt and it has worked great. Ill look and see if I have the name of the company. I found it. Solo Auto Electronics. I had found another one that was Dodge PCM or something and after some digging through bad reviews, found that one company was using 6 or 7 different website names, DodgePCM being one of them. They were all part of autocomputerexchange.com or .net or something. Solo repaired my PCM for 300 and I have a 12month warranty free. A ECM repair would be more but alot less than 1300. If you purchased a new one from them it would have a lifetime warranty. Hope this helps.

Im having a brainfart and cant remember the name of the machine we used to isolate the PCM to verify it was bad. I know you could use the same machine to verify is the ECM was bad or the ip.

for the sake of my pocket I hope it isn't the ecm and I looked at the websites but I cant seem to find any ecm's for my truck just pcm and tcm. but the ecm I found was going for about 250 but would need a reflash to work on my motor, year, an transmission combo and I have no clue what these things cost to install
