Default P-Pump Conversion to 1st Gen

Well I needs some questions answered and lets not be like the douche bags over on CompD, PLEASE!

I am going to convert my first gen VE Pump 12V to a P-Pump. I plan on making my truck the baddest outlaw truck in my area.. which wont be hard since I will be the only outlaw truck around haha. Anyways. I know I need the timing cover, the drive gear, the bracket to hold the pump, and a oil line (Is there just one or is there two?)

I also want a good article on timing the pump. Also I have seen people mention a timing kit, which sounds like it would be worth the investment. Is there anything else, cause when I seem to do a search all I get is about 24V conversions and its the same stupid 'Do I need different injectors?' or 'Do I need special fuel lines?'. I cant find a good article to read. So I am hoping someone has a link to a good article I can bookmark.

Also I got a few tech questions. Mainly has anyone ran any of Pure Diesel Powers stuff? Such as these Delivery Valves

http://www.puredieselpower.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=190{105}480

or these delivery valve holders

P7100 High Flow Delivery Valve Holders .120

also I heard stainless steel .120 lines aren't good to run on a Daily Driven truck. Is this bull or is there a cheaper better wearing alternative for DD?

that same guy has a lot of good videos he is also a member of db but i forget who he is. and if he reads this he should unviel himself and recieve credit where its due.

what pump are you using? 120 sounds pretty extreme for dd maybe even extreme for weekend warrior.

im by no means an expert.

You'll need the p-pump lines (naturally, but you didn't have them listed, so just saying), and p-pump injectors, since the p-pump pops at a higher pressure than the VE. The injector thing might get tricky since there are 2 versions of VE heads; one with 9mm injector tips (non-IC) and one with 7mm tips (IC)...iirc. There are bushings available to run 7mm tip injectors in a 9mm head, so it's not a huge deal if yours was originally non-IC.

From everything I've read, the .120 lines and holders are WAY overkill for anything remotely DD, but I have no proof of that just hearsay.

The timing kit might be worth it if you change timing a lot, but honestly I wish I would have known about the port spill method before I dropped big money on my Blue-Point timing kit

I'm sure there are more tidbits you'll pick up along the way...

The 1st Gen engines had the two injectors like you said, mine is a Non I/C so I have the 9mm, and yes you can buy bushings so you can run 7mm. Some say to switch to a 7mm head, but those who have tested it, say that there is only a small minute compression loss and its nothing to really worry about. I know need different injection lines, just like you said didnt mention it. And I have read that guys say the big holders and lines are overkill and others say there not really overkill if you plan on putting down big street power. And thank you TSC for the video, I appreciate you lookin it up for me!

No problem I know how hard it is to (search) when you don't know exactly what you are searching for.
