Regular cab auto 4x4. with the amount of power these engines make when modded its very hard to hook up in 2wd. The truck i just picked up will smoke the tires when it shifts into second and boosted launches just lead to tire smoke and black marks. Wish it was 4x4 but cant complain at the 800 dollar price tag.

^ 2x

defiantly make sure its a 4x4 otherwise you'll be at a disadvantage at the strip when going up against the other guys. also the lighter the faster, the regular cab is about as light as it gets. dont know what years though

I'm not exactly sure if they were still putting 12 valves in the trucks when they redesigned the dash, nut if they did, get that one just because that interior is boss other than that, x3 for me on Reg cab 4x4!

Cops around here are dicks, running even DOT slicks my buddy in hs always got pulled over in his tubbed out olds. 4x is much cheaper, just remember to keep it open in front, not having any steering control is kinda scary.

Definately look at 98s too because they still have a 12 valve and 215hp pump. And the better interior too.
