Default camshaft

So i was wondering if it would be worth getting a performance camshaft. Ive had people tell me they are pointless. i know you can benefit with bigger cams in a car because it makes more exhaust to spool the turbo would it have the same effect in diesel?

A lot of power can be made using a stock shaft. Of course they will help some but I think money can be spent else where that will benifit more unless youve already got everything else covered

The only real reason i did an aftermarket cam was that i was already in the front of the motor since the cam decided to walk out of the block on its own. I noticed a little bit with the cam but I also changed a lot of stuff at the same time. Personally I would work with everything else prior to looking at cams
