waste gate??
ok im going to try this one more time.. i have all the parts needed to run a triple turbo set up but im not sure which turbos should be gated if any. two small s359 for the top an a s366 on bottom none of which are gated what happens if theres no gate? should the top ones have gates? any input to help me understand this would be great

IMHO u don't need a gate for the 59's but u prob do for the 66. Reason being, I don't think u will have enough exhaust flow to spin them too fast but the only way the 66 won't over boost without a gate is if u don't have enough fuel to turn it in the first place and/or the housing is so big it won't turn that fast

thank you for the clerification. but still the damn thing will be a lathargic PIG coming into boost.
so... in this setup the 66 is going to be over your small chargers? wouldnt it make more sence to have to much smaller turbos under it. like smaller than stock...?
the 66 would be the one that needs the wastegate and the 59's are fine as welderboy stated you prolly wont have enough flow to ever damage them

All tripples I've seen have two large identical chargers in parallel pushing into a small "high pressure" turbo on
The manifold, doubling volume rather than say the time and a half increase of a typical compound set up all while keeping the same responsiveness. Sounds to me you've got it in reverse. Two small; one large.

I've been reading a lot on compound setups lately, but triples still baffle me a little. From what I've seen, "most" triple setups have fairly similarily sized turbos all the way around since the CFM is going to be doubled on the split atmospheric chargers anyway. Given the split chargers are in the 59 range, I almost wonder if it would be more benifitial to run a well gated 60 or 62 as the "high pressure" charger...
