how do i cool my egt??

Default how do i cool my egt??

I have a 96 12v and bought a set of 370s and the egt sky's I have stock Turbo w banks waste gate but Idk how to get them down...... mods are afc springs 4k gov. 370s big head waste gate boost elbow 5 in exhaust HELP

Those 370's kill your EGTs unfortunately. They're not the correct spray pattern for our motors.

That being said, there are still things you might be able to do. An aftermarket exhaust and BHAF would help some.

What are you seeing in the way of EGTs?

how hot is sky? run your turbo at 35psi with a good intake as mentioned take some rack out of the pump, what size plate you your run?

I have a 5 in exhaust I have 100 plate and I had the plate all the way forward w the afc all the way forward and it hit 1400 degrees should I put stock plate back in?? Until I get my compound Turbo...

1400 isn't terrible if you don't keep it over 1200 for very long. Before my new turbo, I buried my 2000* pyro once or twice for several seconds. If you're worried about it, slide your plate back a little bit.

I did slide it back but egt still goes right up... and on highway I'm around 800 to 1000 degrees..

need air! unfortunetly you get what you pay for when it comes to injectors.

Would a d tech 62 or 64 help lower them??

yes i was running 370s with a super 62/71/14 and loved it now im running sdx 5x.012 and a super 64/71/14 becuase the 370s only lasted 2 years
