I recently picked up the vehicle I have been looking for for quite some time. 1996 Ram 2500 4x4 12V Gearvendors 118k. I was doing a wholesale fluid change today and the transfer case has an 8 pt torx looking plug. Anybody help with this?

I'm a chevy guy...just love the cummins 12V.

What I mean by help is anybody know where the hell to get this torx? reg 6pt tork 55 is too small, 60 too big. One thing I saw said use 10mil hex...no go. Am I missing something here?

 

on all the 241's Ive worked on that plug is a metric allen plug not a torx

 

Well..its not 10 mil. and thats as big as Ive got foir metric hexs. I just used an adjustable on the outside of it...DUH!

 

Same here... i didnt think they came with anything else

 

Is it a rounded out 10mm? Seen many like that when guys try to us a 3/8 on it.
