Default airdog 150 vs raptor 150

looking to buy a lift pump here pretty soon it looks to be 100$ difference between the two do you really want the better filtration on a 12v? does it really matter? and as far as pressure i believe you cant adjust the fuel pressure on the airdog 150?

If you want adjustable pressure with filter you will need the Airdog II 165. You should be fine with just the Rapt or but having the extra filtration is nice.

It's not just the extra filtration, it's the removal of entrained air within the diesel fuel meaning pure diesel to your engine. Can't promise it's a noticeable difference, but more commonly noticed is smoother idle and a slight increase in fuel mileage with the AD.

Raptor 150, AD 150 all flow the same. If the OFV060 is designed for electric fuel pump use then you're good. Give them a call if you're still concerned

i was worried with the pressure in the stock fuel filter canister he told me stock fuel filters are rated for 55gph where the raptor pushes 150 and once ur fuel pressure gets close to 50 ur likely to blow a seal in your stock filter

No worries... The raptor is capable of pumping 150gph, that doesn't mean it flows 150gph through the pump... That's the point of the OFV, a restriction for pressure to be created within the pump. The OFV serves the purpose of limiting how much fuel is returned to the tank taking care not to make the fuel stagnant. Stagnant fuel means a hot pump. What doesn't flow through the pump is bypassed back to the tank. but at any rate, you won't flow anything near 150gph through your filter.

O-rings are used in wayyyy higher pressure applications and they don't blow out but it depends on how the I ring is stabilized. If you start seeing leaks buy an aftermarket filter head and spin on filter and bypass the factory canister, mind you the injector bleed off return is returned into the canister so you'd have to make provisions for the return.
