Default hx 35/40 hybrid questions

I just picked up an HX35-40 hybrid turbo off a friend of mine and i had a few questions.

my truck doesent have a line running from the turbo or wastegate to the AFC housing, well the hybrid has a nipple for a hose fitting on the wastegate but there is no where to put it on my afc housing or on the turbo since there is no hole for a boost elbow on the turbo or on my AFC housing.

what should i do?

and i was reading about it and someone said to put a 18.5 cm exhaust housing on it to help with it barking real bad or something?

anything else i should know about it? any thing i should be worried about? any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

put an elbow back on your AFC and hook it up to your turbo. and an 18.5 is a big housing stock is 12 use a 14 or 16 if your engine isnt stock and if it is, the 12 will do just fine just get hot faster. and the bark is due to intake pressures from a quick let off of the go pedal when it is all boosted up. its surging on the intake side trying to equalize pressures.

Barking the turbo is always bad, but you have to be more careful on the 35/40 hybrid because the HX35 has a smaller shaft then a normal HX40, and when putting the bigger, heavier inducer wheel on the HX35's smaller shaft, barking it puts more stress on the shaft giving it just that much more of a chance of sheering it off.

i was allways told the hx35 shaft was stronger then the hx40 shaft,i dont know what size housing is on it but i know its smaller then the one on my stock turbo. i dont know wether it has the hx40 shaft of the hx35 shaft i just know it was bought to be put on his truck but he traded it to me for some stuff and it says hx40w on the tag on the front of the turbo housing.

also my motor isnt too stock, 4k governer springs 60lb valve springs,no plate, cold air intake,4 inch turbo back, 16 or 17 degrees timing. and afc tuning.

my afc housing doesent have anywhere to put the boost elbow on, so i dont know what to do.

only thing on the back of the afc is a line that connects for oil, theres no other fitting what so ever on it like my other trucks i had. my old white dually had a boost elbow on the actuall turbo my red truck had a boost elbow on the afc housing and it had a line that ran to the turbo.

this truck doesent have one period, ive looked all over for one or even a line to it, but it just doesent have one.

my friends truck which is a 24v has a line that runs from his wastegate to the front of his turbo near the tag on the cool side and has the boost elbow there...do you think i should drill into the cool housing and run it the same way? or just block it and just keep an eye on the boost its building?

if i understand you correctly that shouldnt be an issue your still gonna be faking out the wastegate. if your not running a bunch of fuel your prolly not gonna have a real issue overboosting your turbo. probably bout 30 is all im getting with the stuff in my sig. it will spike a bit more on occasion but generally is around 28-30lbs

im getting 30 at max with my wastegate on my hx35 wired shut, my other 12 valve could hit 40 psi with the hx35 on it and it did it without injectors. i figure i should be atleast able to hit 35 psi with the hx40 hybrid, if not ive got a set of dvalves i can put in it.

with the mods in my sig what do you think ill make horsepower wise with that hybrid, i was hoping 300-350. ive got a set of tst delivery valves i can use aswell, but ive got to pull them out of my other pump.
