Modifications?
I got a stock tranny, with 60lb vavle springs and no fuel plate with a 4in straight pipe exhaust and intake and a lock up torque converter switch. I dont have any problems, Im also not a heavy footed guy. 1st and 2nd do slip to much for my liking, but i thinks thats cause i got 37 tires and 3.55 gears with a stock tranny. when i had smaller tires it had way less slip.
Okay I got stock tire size 33s. pretty much a full stock truck. I got intake and going to do a straight 3" to save money for now. tell I can afford a 4". Im wanting to do the fuel plate but I have been getting uneasy about it with out gauges. I just want to know what my tranny can take over stock so I dont start slipping trannys are not cheap... Thanks for your info and help.
My auto tranny is stock.I've got the banks twin ram, duel 4" turbo back exhaust, tripple pod gauges, tranny, boost, egt.BD torque lock, afe stage 1 air filter, htt 3 piece exhaust manifold, rear suspension air bags, ect. my tranny slips a little in overdrive if i get into it,but if i don't,it's fine.Stock trannies can only take so much of a power increase.
Okay so how much over stock could I potentially go?. Im not trying to get crazy I really only want to do my fuel plate? and would yall know about the gain I would get from doing a stock fuel plate slide? the only mods I got right now are S&B full intake, and this weekend will be doing a stright 3". Im trying to get as much info on this Fuel plate and star wheel as I can before I do it. and im also going to wait tell I get gauges. But any help is greatly usefull. Thanks guys...

I seem to remember reading somewhere that The stopping point for the stock auto was a 60 horse increase. My 96 was ok with the fuel plate forward , and the afc adjusted. I installed a valvebody when I installed the tst #5 plate , and had no problems with it , and I towed and had somewhat of a heavy foot.
