Lower EGT's with larger Turbo Housing?

Default Lower EGT's with larger Turbo Housing?

There is some great info on this site! I normally do more reading and searching than posting, but now I have a question. I am needing to drop EGT's a little more. I have a 97 3/4 ton with a five speed. Mods are in my signature. My truck is a daily driver and my tow rig for my rock crawler. When I hook up to my GN, typical weights are between 10K-14K. I have water/meth which helped some, but not a lot, it just slowed the speed at which the temps climb.

I still have the HX35 with a boost elbow, stock injectors. Would I benefit any by going with the larger 16cm non-wastegated exhaust housing? Would it help drop temps very much? I'm looking for another 200-300* drop so I don't have to back off when pulling hills.

cross drill the wastegate on your turbo housing will help your top end egt's

Thanks, I've seen that suggested in a lot of threads. It's worth a shot and I'll take every little improvement I can get.
