Default Suspension to Stiff! 96 Cummins

Whats a good, soft progressive rate coils I could put in my truck for a low price? My springs are just to stiff and feels like a car would be softer. I was thinking of the Kore leveling kit for $400, comes with springs and shocks. Is this a good product?

It is tough to get one of these trucks to ride nice. Massive motor, HD 3/4 truck, and a solid front axle... A long arm kit would make it ride real nice

Yeah long arms do make the ride nice with some bilstien 5100's. But these truck are extremely hard to make them ride nice since they were built to work and haul heavy loads

Eventually I would love to do some long arms on my truck. I am just trying to find something to hold me over for the time being to make just simple off roading not seem like im in an earthquake. I wanted to get some suspension for my truck then spend the first bulk of money saved for a better tranny.

I hate to say it but there is not a whole lot you can do to make these trucks ride nice. Those springs may help a little. Also those shocks are some of the best shocks you can get which is a plus

also look up carli suspension and thuren fabrication. out of the aftermarket suspensions lorenz and kore are the absolute stiffest. also, shock tuning has ALOT to do with the ride, not all bilstein 5100's and such are the same. like with carli, theyre 5100's have theyre own valve profile. there are deffinatley some price differences between all the companies but as with everthing else, you get what you pay for. ive ridden trucks with all the different companies stuff on them and hands down would do carli or thuren. also, if you want to do more research check out dodgetrucksxtreme.com
