Default head bolts

alright im finally gettin to work on my truck had some stuff to take care of and problems with equipment but i remember seein somewhere somebody said they used grade 12 bolts from a hardware store in there 12 valve puller runnin over 60 psi and turnin out to work really well? if anybody knows about this lemme know somethin bout 90 dollars for a set etc. second when i sell my 370 marine injectors im gonna get 5x12 or 7x12? which for the money/power? and if anybody knows about the bolts would 19* timing hurt?

I don't know about those bolts but Mighty Diesel has the allen head bolts which are still fairly cheap and alot of people are running them and no one seems to be having issues with them. As for injectors, the 5x12s will be the same as your 370s but hopefully the correct spray pattern. A 7x12 is almost the same as a 5x16s IIRC.

What do you want to do with your truck, 5x16/7x12 is alot of injector, trust me, I ran 5x16s with my 64/71/14 got hot really quick, cruising around 1000* @ ~65ish. And they had no problem pegging my 2000* pyro. No with compounds they are a good injector...

thats pretty hot runnin that size turbo but wat pump mods dv's and fuel plate where u runnin? wat size exhaust? i have a 5 inch turbo back exhaust still a 3 inch flange but open exhaust gonna run a 0 plate all afc mods are already done and im gonna advance my timing after injectors and dv's and soon soon soon im gonna invest in a ht3b to run under my hx35 so that should help quite a bit with heat. on the clutch side of things i know people say there junk but im not gonna do any tractor pulls or hot rod the truck so i was thinkin the 550 hp clutch full ceramic. another thing bud my truck was auto its 5 speed now super jumpy and rough through 1-3 rd gear i cant make it smooth at all. and when i pull a trailer it jumps really bad sometimes i have to stop and do it again it jumps so bad. i was lookin around i think i have a broke throttle spring ssomebody said that ,makes my throttle super jumpy and hard to drive while haulin or shiftin through small gears. u know anything bout that

U still runnin stock 181dvs with 370s? Try 191s or .024 dvs. I put in my .022s with my 370s and smoothed them out to the point where I kinda of miss them now. On the my auto, truck ran rough from about 1200 to 1600 rpms. The dvs cleared it right up. As far as head bolts, I purchased a set from a guy on cf that are supposed to be the same as might diesels for $90 and havent had a problem yet.

awesome and im sellin my 370's only seen a very small improvement of power lots of smoke and less fuel mileage goin to 7x14s. i know 7x14;s will smoke too but are alot higher in hp with rite air flow too. im gonna try the bolts out im pullin my head tomorrow. gonna order 60lb springs 4gsk and have my pump redone too and advanced timing and get another fuel plate and get 7x12 injectors here for long when i can afford a turbo then a full ceramic clutch 550hp ill make it last
