I would build the 12v. Later 24v heads have valve seats, that personally scare the crap out of me.

Thats good to know. and unless im misinformed a good p&p and a 12 v head will flow juast as much as a 24 valve

A 12v head done right will out flow a 24v big time.

Whats the point of a 24v if your just gonna put the primitive p-pump on it? Not knocking it, just asking whats the point overall if your gonna turn a modern block into an oldschool mechanical injection motor

24v block ppump and an 04.5 and up common rail head you get the best of all three and its been done

And its only a hassle if the motor is in the truck but its still worth it

CR heads are the best for a street truck that isn't going to have the intake milled off and ported all the way. The headgasket will need to be modified.

On a 24 valve block it bolts right up you do however have to have the water ports in a CR head opened up some other then that there's no machine work needed
