Default intake and intake manifold?

alrighty i have a k&n intake and like it but after i put it on i hear i shoula went with a AFE ? is it worth the money? i got a buddy that would buy my k&n but id really like to know if its worth the trouble and money. also i plan to buy the AFE intake manifold it would look alot better if my brands matched so what should i do?

i have heard that the k&n filters do not filter enough dirt out for a turbodiesel, not sure as i havn't tried one, i went with the afe

know they are not worth it. just buy a cone filter for s&b and put it on your stock intake tube, thats what i did and it cost me $35

check out icebox! and the afe intake horn is a waste other then it looks good.

i bought a green cone afe for 80bux and put it in the stock intake tube and it works great, i think k&n makes some of there filters for diesel so it might be good enough

Go with a AFE or a S&B for filter/ intake depending on the route you go. And the AFE intake are nice as well but I really like the CFM+ intake elbows

wait dean which K&N do you have? if you got the full cold air setup like I've got i'd say keep it i love mine and i now it's getting plenty of air and you can tell it really works well if you keep them charged like they are supposed to be

its the whole kit i complety removed the stock its the tube box and filter with the stock sensor at the top of the filter i had to install it was a pain n the *** everything that coulda went wrong did. i had to rig up some lock washer and new nuts for the box itself the stock plastic ones were stripped. K&N 57-1525 $281.99 - 57 Series FIPK, Air Intake / Cold Air Intake here is the one i got i like it but ive heard afe has better air flow ?

yeah that's the same one i had on ole bessy I liked it i guess it's just a personal thing and i vote we need beer drinkin this weekend
