Default Whats a good low pressure combo turbo for the ats 3000

Helllo i am newer to diesel bombers but have been modding diesel trucks and tractors for a few years now, i currently have an ats 3000 turbo on my 12 valve dodge and i hve way to much fuel capacity, i am looking to find a good compound combo for it cause i pull an 18k lb travel trailer all over and traveling all over the country pipeline welding, i do hve supreme fab skills so no1 can get me ther and was thinking of running an s400 series turbo underneath my 3000 let me kno what u guys think, 5x .018 injectors so im trying to flow with them.......

yep got an auto meter for everything.....pyro, fuel, oil temp, oil pressure for turbo, water temp at front of block, manual trans temp, and a boost, pullin my 18klb trailer and the reg. cab truck weighing 11,000lb not runnin real hard i make an average of 1200egt, hve turned to fuel down and tweaked with timing a lot but ive spiked 1500 egt with tht 3000 and hold no more than 1200-1300, i have a progressive water methanol controller tht i built the borad for which is fairly simple to do if u kno a little about resistors and such have about 20bucks in parts from radio shack and i run approx. 3 gallons of water/meth to 40 gals of diesel pulling my trailer

in ats's twin kit they use there a5000 ( basicly a k31) with a 71mm compressor. an s471 or s475 would be a good choice, but if it were me I would go with an gt-76 from forced inductions. Also loose the full cuts a smaller dv would be a much better choice for your towing combo.

OK thanx man we are a breed of our own wine em dine em pipeline um, so ud suggest ne where from approx a 71-76mm compressor wheel range, also i hve a set of 191s for dvs and a set of 181s but those werent enuf truck was lopeing at idle when cold because of big injectors, hve idle cranked up to 1050 tho so shouldnt matter

im really wanting a turbo to have around 105 exhaust turbine and 90 or so trim, i hve plenty of push and im not one to want to leave in a hurry but to keep chuggin and keep them egts down, my hx35 couldnt take the heat of the 5x .018s this 3000 tho ive had really good luck with and its got a 61 or 62 comp housing i ordered it with non wastegated but ill put an external one on charge pipe of compundi plan to ake everything and have welding and fab tools, i weld for a living so thts no problem

the 181's would be my choice, but why do you want such a big turbine wheel? the 88/96 shown would be more than enough, or better yet that TV turbine on the GT-76 spools better and flows more. Add a external gate to that a3000 and you would have yourself a nice towing set up.

Ok thanx, im just trying to get a lot of drive and flow id sacrifice a little lag for cooler temps and more power gt 76 flow capabilities is more of what i looking for trying to keep above 1300cfm if i can without a whole bunch of lag but i dont mind a little worse than factory

98 lbs/min is a little over 1400 CFM so that gt-76 would work great for what your after. spool up will be slighly slower than what you have now.
